The Trak-kit™ Robotic AV Mounting System was designed to meet people's increasing need to mobilise and automate the functions of their flat screens. The design and manufacturing team developed this revolutionary ceiling track system to elegantly free the end user from fixed wall-mounts, with the end result being a more dynamic and flexible viewing experience. Introduction Trak-kit™ consists of suspending a screen(s) from a ceiling track that provides automated linear and rotating movement along a path. At the press of a button the Trak-kit™ A1 robotic version of this system enables a flat screen(s) to be used in multiples areas, taking the screen beyond its traditional home of the living room. Contained in the track of the Trak-kit™ A1 are sophisticated, fully programmable servo motors, not unlike those used in industrial robots. The A1 system can be integrated into any automation system via its RS232 capability. This means any number of functions and pre-set positions can be programmed, either independently or in sequence, with other AV equipment. The track itself is available in 10’ / 3m lengths and can be incorporated into new builds as well as retro fitted to both the inside and outside of the ceiling. If not fitted inside the ceiling the housing, or cover, of the Trak-kit™ A1 can be customised to a variety of styles including V-shape, round and box and the cover itself can be custom finished in any material, including stainless steel, extruded aluminium and timber. Wires are not the burden or eye-sore they are in traditional AV installations. All cables are integrated into an individual cable management system inside the track. Any number of accessories can be incorporated into the track, including lighting, air conditioning ducts and speakers. Application Trak-kit™ is designed to fit any user's need for a customised configuration, making it appropriate for innumerable applications in residential homes and commercial spaces. At home, Trak-kit™ can be used to mobilise a flat panel for use in multiple rooms; physically moving it from the living room, to the kitchen, bedroom and study. When parked the screen could be rotated to display a painting or piece of art. Trak-kit™ can be used in large plan open spaces to segment and delineate space. It can actually mobilise entire walls, sliding them open and closed.
For rooms dominated by windows and spectacular views, Trak-kit™ allows a flat screen to be parked out of sight, possibly behind a wall or door, and mobilised into its viewing position only when required. In the commercial environment Trak-kit™ is a sophisticated display tool, allowing multiple displays to be hidden and shown at will. It is ideal for galleries as well as design and exhibition centres. It has also proved popular in upmarket showrooms and boutiques as well as in newsroom/ TV studio environments and on movie sets.
